The Donald Rothchild papers consist of writings, research materials, and printed matter, all of which relate to Rothchild's lengthy career as a political scientist. A specialist in the study of modern African politics and society, Rothchild had a particular interest in civil conflict and ethnic relations in post-independence African states and his research interests are reflected in the collection.
