    Biography

    Claire John Eschelbach (1929- ) was the first Head of Special Collections at UCSB Library. He is the co-author of Aldous Huxley: A Bibliography, 1916-1959 (1961).

    The collection primarily relates to Eschelbach's bibliography of Aldous Huxley. See: Claire John Eschelbach and Joyce Lee Shober, Aldous Huxley: A Bibliography, 1916-1959 (Berkeley: University of California Press, 1961).
    The materials in this collection include bibliography drafts, correspondence to and from The Huxley family and colleagues related to publishing the bibliography, as well as newspaper clippings and reviews.
