This series contains materials related to administrative, programming and consulting
activities undertaken at the Woman's Building from the 1970s through the 1980s until the
early 1990s, when it closed. Annual programming schedules, promotional material related
to Woman's Building activities and educational programming and the newsletter
Spinning Off are included in this series. Other items include an annual
report for 1979, photographs of 1973 Woman's Building personnel for
Womanspace journal, and slides for the Incest Awareness Project
(1979-1981) and the Great American Lesbian Art Show (1979). Records related to Woman's
Building activities continue into the 2000s, most notably from Wolverton's work as a
consultant from 2008 to 2012 for the OTIS College of Art and Design's publication and
exhibition
Doin' It in Public: Feminism and Art at the Woman's Building
as part of the Getty Research Institute's
Pacific Standard Time: Art in L.A.

which ran from October 1, 2011-January 28, 2012. Series also
consists of drafts of individual essays by contributing authors, editorial comments and
notes, permissions agreements, and editorial correspondence between Wolverton and Sondra
Hale and Wolverton and Arlene Raven. Other records include book proposal submissions and
rejection letters from publishers.
