Description
This collection contains images of County parks, primarily from the 1970s and 1980s.
Background
Santa Clara County purchased its first parkland in 1928. The County Department of Parks and Recreation was formed in 1956.
It manages 28 regional parks which encompass nearly 45,000 acres. Many of the parks include points of local historical interest.
