Series Scope and Contents Summary

This series consists of photograph albums compiled by staff and interns of the Cross Cultural Center throughout its existence, as well as loose photographs and slides which document a wide range of events and activities. These include 25th and 30th anniversary celebrations of the Cross Cultural Center; the annual Rainbow Festival (now Community Roots Festival) and the Martin Luther King Symposium; activism and protests on campus; retreats; various workshops and speakers at the Cross Cultural Center; awards and graduations; staff and interns; and other events and programs sponsored or hosted by the Cross Cultural Center.

Processing Note

Loose photographs were originally received with the title "CCC photographs" and were organized in no discernable order. The photographs were rearranged by topic as best as possible.

Series Scope and Contents Summary

This series consists of recordings originally on VHS tapes, a U-matic tape, and microcassettes about the Cross Cultural Center and events sponsored or hosted by the Cross. The majority of the recordings on VHS tapes relate to programs and events such as the annual Rainbow Festival and Martin Luther King Symposium, the 25th commemoration ceremony, Faculty Colloquium, a conversation with Alice Walker, and various events by student organizations such as Kababayan and the Asian Pacific Student Association. The recordings on microcassettes document various years of the Rainbow Festival and Martin Luther King Symposium, as well as programs such as the Summer Multicultural Leadership Institute, leadership retreats, the All-University Leadership Conference, Legends of China trip, and a student discussion with Cornel West.
