Biographical Note
John J. Hunt is an historian and lecturer who wrote
The Waters of Comfort: The Story of Desert Hot Springs California, a non-fiction work on the history of the people and landmarks of Desert Hot Springs.

The collection contains materials related to the research of historian John Hunt. Items in the collection include local newspaper
articles written by Hunt, drafts of Hunt's book
The Waters of Comfort, and letters to UC Riverside's Head of Special Collections Sidney E. Berger.
