Description
The Robert Linn papers contains drafts and final copies of music compositions by Robert Linn, along with a few programs for concerts and other events. Linn joined the faculty of the USC School of Music in 1957 and served as the Chairman of the Music Theory and Composition Department from 1973 to 1990. Over the course of his career, Linn published compositions for symphony and wind orchestras and chorus and chamber ensembles.

Robert Linn was born in San Francisco, California in 1925. He joined the faculty of the USC School of Music in 1957 and served as the Chairman of the Music Theory and Composition Department from 1973 to 1990. Over the course of his career, Linn published compositions for symphony and wind orchestras and chorus and chamber ensembles. He also served as the president of the Los Angeles Chapter of the National Association for American Composers and Conductors. Linn passed away in Los Angeles, California in 1999.
