Description
Writings, correspondence, and photographs, relating to twentieth-century military history, and especially to aspects of World War II, the Indochinese War, and the Cuban missile crisis. Includes drafts of a book-length study entitled "Pluto and Vulture: A Comparison between John F. Kennedy at the Bay of Pigs and Dwight D. Eisenhower at Dienbienphu," and drafts of the books Soft Underbelly: The Anglo-American Controversy over the Italian Campaign, 1939-1945 (New York, 1968) and The Perfect Failure: Kennedy, Eisenhower and the CIA at the Bay of Pigs (New York, 1987).
