Background
The Veterans Guidance Center was established in 1946 to meet the needs of the growing numbers of veterans enrolling at Stanford.
In 1949 it became the Stanford Counseling and Testing Center, offering vocational counseling, personal counseling, reading
diagnosis and remediation, and an occupational library to all Stanford students.
