Description
Records include procedures, volunteer-youth match-up records, evaluations, applications, and newsletters.
Background
The NCAA Volunteers for Youth, which began at Stanford University in 1969 as the Stanford Youth Program, paired student athletes with area middle and high school children who were experiencing academic difficulties or personal problems. The NCAA picked up sponsorship of the program in 1977.
