Scope and Contents note
According to a military attaché report accompanying the journal: "This journal covers operations of Chinese and British forces
in Burma during the period March 16 - May 2 [1942]. It contains considerable information on Japanese operations and identifications.
Supporting it are...documents numbered to correspond to the journal entries shown. Not all journal entries, however, are so
supported." The bulk of the materials are the numbered documents supporting the journal entries. Includes declassified records
returned to file after January 2016 release by Hoover (documents 24, 67, 84, 92, 115, 136, 147, 164, 179). Also included are
notes (typed), outlines of a lecture on the Burma campaign, a summary of the Burma campaign, and a roster of the American
Army Forces in China, Burma, and India as of 28 March 1942.
