to education in West Germany and reunified Germany, and especially to radicalism in German educational institutions.
Background
The Bund Freiheit der Wissenschaft was established in 1970 in West Germany to promote academic freedom. One of the organization's
main activities was the publishing of journals, pamphlets, and monographs on subjects related to higher education in Germany.
The organization produced several of its own journals, -including Hochschulpolitischen Informationen, Moderator, and Freiheit der Wissenschaft. In addition to these publications, the Bund Freiheit der Wissenschaft also published numerous pamphlets and monographs
of German scholars affiliated with the organization. The Bund Freiheit der Wissenschaft also hosted regular forums on topics
related to education and higher education reform.
