Biography
There is little biographical information available about Stanley Meyer. Born December 24, 1913 Meyer served as an intelligence
officer in the Marine Corps during World War II before entering the entertainment industry. Best known for his work as producer
and co-owner of the television series
Dragnet, Meyer also produced film and television projects through his association with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios and Filmmaster,
Ltd. In addition to receving recognition for his work as a producer, Meyer garnered several awards for his humanitarian work
helping disadvantaged youth apply to higher education. After undergoing bypass surgery, Meyer died in Santa Monica of heart
failure on December 18, 1999.

The collection consists of scripts and production information for both the television and radio series
Dragnet created and produced by Stanley Meyer. Included are 27 bound volumes containing scripts, photographs and production information.
13 of the volumes pertain to the
Dragnet radio series while 14 pertain to the television series.
