Biographical Note
Leon Gladun was a Polish soldier interned in the Soviet Union, from 1939 to 1942;
afterwards he was an émigré in Canada. He married Janina Sulkowska.
Scope and Content of Collection
The collection contains memoirs, other writings, correspondence, genealogical
and biographical material, printed matter, and sound recordings, relating to Polish prisoners
in the Soviet Union during World War II, and to postwar Polish émigré affairs. Also included
are the papers of Janina Sulkowska, wife of Leon Gladun.
