Scope and Content Note

This series is comprised of the papers of Richard Blackstone and includes documents from his careers in both the Ohio Volunteer Infantry and the Homestake Mining Company. Materials included in this series are muster rolls, discharge papers, special orders, certificates, correspondence, and the diary of Blackstone from the years 1863-1864.
