Abstract: Thomas Kimmwood Peters (1879-1973) was a pioneer newsreel cameraman who filmed the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire,
the construction of the Panama Canal, and other events. He was also a motion picture producer, cameraman, and inventor. The
collection consists of correspondence, brochures and miscellaneous materials relating to Peters' activities in building his
own and Oglethorpe University's historical photographic collections.
Physical location: Stored off-site at SRLF. Advance notice is required for access to the collection. Please contact the UCLA Library, Department
of Special Collections Reference Desk for paging information.
