department of 20th Century Fox, 1932, and with the editing department of RKO-Radio, 1932-43; president, Red Lion Products;
directed motion pictures, including
Isle of the dead,
Bridges at Toko-Ri,
Peyton Place, and
Valley of the dolls; produced and directed
The inn of the sixth happiness,
Von Ryan's express, and
Daddy's gone a'hunting; he died in 1978.
