Description
George Altman (1884-1962) was a German theatrical producer and director. The collection consists of correspondence, ephemera, bookplates, a 1902 calendar, sketches of stage plans, and a copy of Arthur Schnitzler's Anatol, with notations by Altman.

Altman was a German theatrical producer and director; his publications include (with others) Theater pictorial: a history of world theater as recorded in drawings, paintings, engravings, and photographs (1953).
