Description
The collection consists of constitution and by-laws, agendas and minutes of meetings of the Executive Committee and Staff
Council, general correspondence relating to a variety of issues, and Staff Awards Luncheon files.
Background
The San Diego State University Staff Council, formed in 1968, provides democratic representation for non-academic University
employees. A member of the Staff Council serves on the President's Advisory Committee and makes recommendations on proposals
affecting staff employees. The Council also oversees staff participation on campus committees with policy affecting University
operation and is consulted by the administration for policy input relating to staff.
Restrictions
The copyright interests in some of these materials have been transferred to or belong to San Diego State University. The nature
of historical archival and manuscript collections means that copyright status may be difficult or even impossible to determine.
Copyright resides with the creators of materials contained in the collection or their heirs. Requests for permission to publish
must be submitted to the Head of Special Collections, San Diego State University, Library and Information Access. Permissions
