Collections and Archives reading room. Some files may require reformatting before they
can be accessed. Technical limitations may hinder the Library's ability to provide
access to some digital files. Access to digital files on original carriers is
prohibited; users must request to view access copies. Contact Special Collections and
Archives in advance to request access to digital files.

Lauritzen created many of his digital writings and business records in PageMaker
Document format, a proprietary desktop publishing file format created by Adobe.
PageMaker was superseded by Adobe InDesign. These files are unviewable using
technology currently available to the UCSC Library, but the original files are
available upon request. Contact Special Collection for information on access.
