Physical Description: 0.2 Linear Feet (1 box)
    Date (inclusive): 1906-1958
Abstract: The collection includes photographs of two or more hospitals in Orange County, California, and a library that may associated with a hospital. The bulk of the photographs depict Orange County Hospital, located on West Chapman Avenue in Orange, circa 1930-1938. These include photographs of hospital workers and buildings, some of which document the flooding of the hospital, hospital grounds, nurse's home, and tuberculosis facility caused by the swelling of the Santa Ana River in March, 1938. A few photographs depict interiors and exteriors of a library building, circa 1939-1943. These show library workers, visitors, and a signboard for the Work Projects Administration (WPA). Also included in the collection are photographs of the interior of a hospital building under construction, possibly the Anaheim Memorial Medical Center (later renamed Anaheim Regional Medical Center), circa 1958. There are a few unidentified photographs. The collection includes mainly photographic prints, but there are also a few slides and negatives.
