Description
The California Institute of the Arts Photographic Materials Collection consists of photographic images documenting the history of the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) from the mid 1960s through the mid 1990s. Included in the collection are images of architectural design, building and construction, campus scenes, people, events and activities related to CalArts. Formats include negatives, contact sheets and prints.
Background
The photographic materials in this collection belong to the California Institute of the Arts Public Affairs Department. Most of the images were taken by Public Affairs photographers, however some photographs were taken by photographers not associated with CalArts and were donated to the Public Affairs Department.
