Biographical/Historical Sketch
Stanford President Donald Tresidder appointed a committee of 3 faculty and 3 students to advise him on the issue of a student
radio station on campus in 1946. The station, first called KSU and later KZSU, made its first broadcast on January 6, 1947.
Records include letters, memoranda, minutes, and reports; subjects include budgets, facilities, and management. Prof. Hubert
C. Heffner was the first chairman of the committee; most of the correspondence is between Heffner and Tresidder and Tresidder's
successor, Alvin C. Eurich.
