Family camping album 1904-1918

Scope and Content Note

This album contains photographs of the Pierce family camping expeditions in the Santa Cruz mountains, as well as photographs and a diary by Edwin Pierce documenting his involvement with the 1915 Boys Club of San Francisco camping trips to Boulder Creek and Felton areas.

Scope and Content Note

This album contains photographs of the Pierce family and their daily life in San Francisco. Included are photographs of family members and friends, Santa Cruz beaches, Half Moon Bay, Mount Tamalpais, 1906 San Francisco earthquake ruins, Admission Day parades in San Francisco, and the Panama Pacific International Exposition.

This scrapbook is Edwin Pierce's diary of his summer adventures in Marin on Hilerita ranch starting in 1904, and also contains news clippings of the destruction caused by the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.
