Round Valley [Covelo] Garden Project was started in the early 1970's in Covelo, California, by Alan Chadwick, who had in the previous decade successfully introduced his Rudolf Steiner-influenced French Intensive and Biodynamic systems of food and flower production to the Americas on the University of California Santa Cruz campus. Chadwick continued to work and teach at the Project for five years, before moving on to Virginia to start yet another garden project.
