Description
Jane Eklund Ball (1921- ) was born in Los Angeles, California. She is the author of The Only Gift (1949), Philippa (1953), Designs for Reading: Short Stories (1969), and The Range of Literature: Fiction (1969). The collection consists of manuscript and typescript drafts, galley proofs, and a first edition presentation copy of The Only Gift, a typescript of Day Help, a short story version of The Only Gift, and one small envelope containing five pieces of ephemera.

Jane Eklund Ball was born Jane Mary Eklund October 4, 1921 in Los Angeles, California; BA, UCLA, 1943; MA, Stanford, 1950; married Everett Loran Ball, 1951; in 1964, she became an English teacher, William Howard Taft High School, Woodland Hills; writings include The Only Gift (1949), Philippa (1953), Designs for Reading: Short Stories (1969), and The Range of Literature: Fiction (1969).
