Description
Records pertaining to student self-government consist of individual answers by Stanford students to a survey requested by Frank Kiernan of the School Citizens Committee on the advantages of self-government, 1913. Collection also includes a petition from Stanford students for a course in public speaking and completed survey forms on debating societies at other universities, 1912; and responses from fraternities to a request by Stanford president David Starr Jordan for their opinion on a proposed rule to limit membership when a chapter's academic performance falls.
