Biographical/Historical Sketch
Arthur L. Samuel earned his BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1926.
Samuel was on staff at the Bell Telephone Laboratories and at IBM in Poughkeepsie prior to joining the computer science faculty
at Stanford in 1966.
