Background
Hal Cranton was the assistant director of the Bee Bar Bee Riders radio series and occassionally wrote for both the radio and television program. The television program started as an half-hour
live western series seen weekly on WOR-TV NY from April 18-Sept. 29, 1950. The program started as a musical variety program
featuring Don Knotts as Windy Wales and Bobby Benson as Ivan Curry. The radio programs were broadcast on the Mutual Broadcasting
System.
