Scope and Content Note

The Television Projects series includes scripts and production information for a number television movies, specials, series, and variety shows projects in which Cates was involved. The series is arranged alphabetically into subseries by project title or subject. Among Cates' body of work are: International Emmy Awards shows; County Comes Home; assorted Ford's Theatre annual productions: All-Star Fiesta At Ford's, All-Star Gala at Ford's Theatre, A Celebration of Country, A Celebration at Ford's Theatre, Command Performance, A Festival at Ford's Theatre, Kraft All-Star Salute to Ford's Theatre; Johnny Cash country music specials (1970s-1980s); assorted circus related projects; the Robert Klein Show, Special People, and the award winning specials Annie, the Women in the Life of a Man (1970) and 'S Wonderful, 'S Marvelous, 'S Gershwin (1972). Files within each subseries are arranged alphabetically by file titles. A small portion of the file titles were created or enhanced by the processor.
