Abstract: This collection comprises administrative and working papers for the University of California, Irvine Library from 1965-2019.
Included are subject files, charts, handbooks, schematic room set ups and floor plans, LAUC-I information, awards, reports,
brochures and fliers, documentation of events including photographs and publicity, news articles, audiovisual material such
as VHS tapes and audiocassettes, and born digital material such as CDs, DVDs, 3.5" floppy disks, and ZIP drives. There are
two training videotapes from the late 1970s on searching computer databases and writing research papers. There are also scripts
and audio tapes for library instruction and 48 color slides. This collection includes subject files about the library compiled
by the Special Collections and Archives Department. Also included are born digital videos and associated planning and submission
materials for the Library Student Video Contest (2011-2015). Videos are two minutes long, submitted by undergraduate and graduate
students, and portray how the UCI Libraries helps to achieve students' goals.

Transferred from unknown source and date. Vertical files transferred from Department of Special Collections and Archives in
August 2014. The 2019 accruals were transferred by Carlin Motley and Gaby Camacho, Communications & Events; some material
was accumulated by previous staff member, Sheree Baugh. The 2020 accruals were transferred by Wendi Morner, Director of Development,
and Alexandra Latona, Communications & Events.
