Abstract: Clark Coolidge (1939- ) was the producer of
Words (a weekly hour of new poetry) at KPFA-FM in Berkeley, California (1969-70), the author of various books of poetry, and the
co-editor of
Joglars (1964-66). The collection consists of materials relating to the publication of three issues of the periodical
Joglars including correspondence, literary manuscripts, ephemera, page proofs, loose sheets and issues of
Joglars.

Coolidge was born February 26, 1939 in Providence, Rhode Island; attended Brown University, 1956-58; drummer with Serpent
Power, a San Francisco rock group; producer of
Words (weekly hour of new poetry) at KPFA-FM in Berkeley, California, 1969-70; author of various books of poetry, including
Flag flutter and U.S. Electric (1966),
Clark Coolidge (1967),
Space (1970),

Scope and Content
Collection consists of materials relating to the publication of three issues of the periodical
Joglars, in Providence, Rhode Island by Clark Coolidge, published between 1964-66. Includes correspondence, literary manuscripts,
ephemera, page proofs, loose sheets and issues of
Joglars. Correspondents include Kenneth Rexroth, Philip Whalen, and Jonathan Williams.
