Lise Paret-Limardo de Vela came to Guatemala from Haiti in the early 1960s. She collected indigenous music of Guatemala in
1962 for Guatemala's Instituto Indigenista.
Collection includes music of the Cakchiquel, Tzutuhil, and Quiche Maya of the central highlands of Guatemala on16 sound tape
reels. MP3 access copies are available in the Archive.
