The collection consists of photographs, ephemera, an album, and a catalog relating to the horse breeding and ranching interests of the Macomber family: A.K. Macomber, John Kingsley Macomber, and Dr. Henry Macomber.

    Biography

    The Macomber family of race horse breeders and ranchers lived in Los Angeles, Tulare and San Jose, California.

    Scope and Content

    Collection consists of photographs, ephemera, an album, and a catalog relating to the horse breeding and ranching interests of the Macomber family: A.K. Macomber, John Kingsley Macomber, and Dr. Henry Macomber. Includes photographs of Ausaymas Ranch, Pacheco Creek, a photograph album of a French chateau with racing stables, photographs of horses and an auction catalog for the disposal of H.J. Macomber's racing stable.
