Description
The Darlene Gould Davies Collection consists of documents, materials, and ephemera from the Old Globe Theatre as well as personal files and materials collected
during her active career in the San Diego community. It contains correspondence, meeting minutes, article clippings, magazines,
newspapers, newsletters, journals, flyers, mailings, advertisements, brochures, posters, pamphlets, playbills, invitations,
photographs, DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, scrapbooks, stationery, and commemorative artifacts. The collection is divided into seven
series: Personal Files of Darlene Davies (1910-2013), Old Globe Theatre Files (1979-2015), Promotional Materials (1952-2007), Publications Files (1935-2015), Scrapbooks (1930s-2016), Audiovisual Files (1950-2008), and Artifacts and Memorabilia (1940-2015).

Darlene Davies, born Darlene Geer Gould, was born April 28, 1939 in San Diego, California.
Restrictions
The copyright interests in some of these materials have not been transferred to or belong to San Diego State University. The
nature of historical archival and manuscript collections means that copyright status may be difficult or even impossible to
determine. Copyright resides with the creators of materials contained in the collection or their heirs. Requests for permission
to publish must be submitted to the Head of Special Collections, San Diego State University, Library and Information Access.
