Scope and content:

The Outlook newspaper is the primary newspaper of record covering the daily history of Santa Monica beginning in 1875 until it ceased publication in 1998. This digitized collection currently includes fully-searchable text of the Outlook from 1875 to 1916.

Acquisition information:
The Library received an LSTA Grant through the California State Library in 2008 and began to digitize the contents of the Santa Monica Outlook newspaper. Currently the digitized version covers the first 41 years of the newspaper, from 1875 to 1916.
