Description
Materials pertaining to Classen's years as a student include the student handbook for 1918-19; the songbook for the Junior Opera "Three of a Kind," 1919; and commencement programs and ephemera, 1921-22. Other materials include F. W. Loel's "Stratigraphy of the Salinas Valley," geology 7B class paper with original illustrations and map, 1915; postcard photograph of Stanford geologists Howard Kirk, William A. Clark, Linn Farish, and Thomas F. Stipp taken in Mexico circa 1926; ephemera regarding Edwin Theodore Dumble, 1924; John G. Goode's booklet "The Big Game, A Different Perspective," 1985; Stanford football game tickets, 1930-77; brochures and booklets on the Stanford Barn, the history of the founding of the University, Glenn "Pop" Warner, and Palo Alto; the Daily Palo Alto Memorial Number (ca. 1919); and assorted clippings and newspapers on athletics and Stanford history.
