Collection includes the video about Linda Meier shown during the Uncommon Woman award event, featuring interviews with President Emeritus Gerhard Casper, Fidela Schneider (Stanford volunteer), John B. Ford (VP for Development), Prof. Ewart A. C. Thomas, and Mona Duggan (officer at Cantor Center for Visual Arts); original tapes of the interviews; and a tape of the award dinner.
Background
Linda Meier, Stanford class of 1961, was the 21st recipient of the Degree of Uncommon Woman honoring her work on behalf of Stanford University. Her accomplishments include co-chair of the Stanford Centennial Campaign, co-founder and chair of the Cardinal Club (a scholarship program for women's athletics), board and vice chair of Lucile Salter Packard Children's Hospital, chair of the opening of the Cantor Center for Visual Arts and, most recently, vice chair for outreach of the Campaign for Undergraduate Education.
