Biography: Captain L. W. York was an employee of the Joshua Hendy Corporation from 1944 to 1953.
Captain L. W. York document dated April 16, 1959, (SAFR 23003, HDC 1633), is a carbon copy with original signature of R. L.
Bucholz, Marine Personnel Manager of the Joshua Hendy Corporation.
The document certifies Captain L. W. York's service on the following vessels and lists his job title and dates for each: FORT
MCHENRY, CHALMETTE, M. SANTA ANA, HORACE SEE, TUOLUMNE MEADOWS, PLATT PARK, JOHN P. ALTGELD, COYOTE HILLS, PAMANSET, SOLEDAD,
