Description
Photograph album, apparently of a British soldier with the 2nd Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, containing 300+ black/white images, mainly snapshots without captions, ca. 1930s - early 1940s. Includes photos of family, apparently in Britain, as well as many shots of fellow soldiers, military camps, troops on the march, countryside and inhabitants of the North-West Frontier of India (now Pakistan and Afghanistan), as well as some of other parts of India and of Burma. Signs in a few photos indicate locations such as Landikotal (border of Pakistan and Afghanistan), Jutoga Cantonment. road to Kabul, Tribal Territory, and Frontier of India.
