telegrams, playbills, framed awards, and ephemera relating to Ruggles' stage and motion picture career.

Ruggles was born on February 8, 1892 in Los Angeles; he made his first theatrical appearance at the Alcazar Theatre in San
Francisco; he later appeared in motion pictures; he died in December 1970.
Scope and Content
Collection consists of photographs, keybooks, annotated plays and scripts, clippings, fan letters, telegrams, playbills, framed
awards, and ephemera relating to the stage and motion picture career of Charles Ruggles. Includes photographs of film actors
and actresses. Also includes materials relating to:
