History

The Herbert M. Baruch Corporation was a Los Angeles-area general construction contracting firm, active from the early 1920s to the late 1940s.

Scope and Content

Collection consists of 8 x 10 inch photographs and promotional materials documenting buildings and properties constructed by the Herbert M. Baruch Corporation of Los Angeles. Photographs showing completed buildings and in various stages of construction include the Hollywood Bowl, Philharmonic Auditorium, Mayfair Hotel, Mira Hershey Hall at UCLA, and many local high schools and junior high schools.
