Collection consists primarily of radio and television scripts related to the career of writer and director Manning Ostroff. Radio scripts include The Eddie Cantor Show (1944-49), Time to Smile (1943-44), and Wednesday With You (1945). Television scripts include The Colgate Comedy Hour (1950-54). Also includes correspondence, photographs, and memorabilia.

Biographical / historical:

Manning Ostroff was born ca. 1908. He was a columnist and editor for The B'nai Brith Messenger (1932-38) and production manager at the Los Angeles radio station KFWB (ca. 1939-44). Ostroff produced and directed The Eddie Cantor Radio Show (ca. 1945-50), a local LA television show with Al Jarvis, and NBC's Colgate Comedy Hour (1950-54). He died December 15, 1981.
