Biographical/Historical Sketch
Karl Brandt, appointed professor of agricultural economics at the Stanford Food Research Institute (FRI) in 1938, was FRI
Associate Director (1952-1962) and Director (1962-1964), and a Senior Research Fellow, Hoover Institution (1964-1975).
