The Fine Press Promotional Literature Collection, 1979-2010 (bulk 1985-1998) consists of the publicity literature mailed out to advertise fine books printed by Arion Press, The Book Club of California, The Yolla Bolly Press, and other Californian private presses during the late 1980s and the 1990s. The collection also documents, through correspondence, some of the acquisitions from private presses made by San José State University Special Collections during this period. A folder containing private press literature on printings of the work of poet Robinson Jeffers is included. The records consist of mailers, publishing lists, prospectuses, brochures, announcements, broadsides, leaflets, cards, ordering forms, correspondence, newsletters, receipts, photocopied newspaper articles, photos, and issues of the periodical Fine Print, a journal that reviewed private press publications. This collection consists of one series: Series I. Fine Press Promotional Literature 1979-2010 (bulk 1985-1998).
