This series consists of personal and professional papers from the Kenyon, Stanley, and Crellin families. It includes school materials, certificates, receipts, magazines, postcards, ephemera, ledgers, records, and reports.

Personal papers, 1883-1964

Subseries Scope and Content Summary

This subseries consists of school materials and other personal documents from the Stanley, Kenyon, and Crellin families. The report cards, commencement materials, diplomas, and albums are from elementary and high schools in Tustin, Santa Ana, San Diego, and Iowa. Receipts and other materials are included from the U.S. Treasury Department, Tustin Hardware Company, Southern California Edison Company, Irvine Walnut Association, Fairhaven Cemetery Association, Tustin Packing Company, and Lutz Company. Magazines such as Life are included from the early 20th century. This subseries also contains postcards from Tustin and Santa Ana, some including personal written messages.

Subseries Scope and Content Summary

This subseries consists of papers from the professional lives of the Kenyon, Stanley, and Crellin families. Most of the material is related to farming and citrus growing, which was the families' main business interest. Brochures, clippings, programs, and reports of the American and California Farm Bureau Federation are included, as well as payment records from the Tustin Hills Citrus Association. This subseries also contains the business ledger of S.W. Stanley, as well as reports and meeting minutes from the Tustin Chamber of Commerce when he was its secretary.

Series Scope and Content Summary

This series consists of photographs from Southern California, Mexico, and Iowa from the early and mid-20th century. It includes mostly black-and-white prints, with some color prints of the Crellin house in Tustin circa 1959. Most of the photographs depict buildings and landscapes in the locales mentioned above, with some portraits and group portraits included. Some black-and-white panoramas of Orange County are included as oversize material.
The Orange County photographs include scenes of the Orange County fair, Tustin, Laguna Beach (Arch Beach), Santa Ana, Newport Beach, Irvine Ranch, Orange County Park, the San Juan Capistrano mission, and Santa Ana Canyon. In particular, the Tustin photographs show the Crellin house on Tustin Ave., schools, and the town of Tustin circa 1900. Also included in this series are photographs of Redondo Beach, San Fernando Valley, Catalina Island, the San Diego mission, Old Town San Diego, La Jolla, Warner Hot Springs, Point Loma, Hotel del Coronado, Tijuana (Mexico), and Iowa. Typed and handwritten captions for the Iowa photographs and most of the California photographs are included.
