The Planning Office is a division of the Department of Planning and Development of the County of Santa Clara. The Planning Office's main role is to plan and regulate land use and development in unincorporated Santa Clara County. The office's duties include: maintaining general plan and zoning ordinances, implementing planning studies, reviewing zoning and development applications, and monitoring major building projects.
- Acquisition information:
- The planning brochures and related documents were transferred to the Archives by the Office of Planning in conjunction with the County Photographer's Collection. The issues of info were transferred to the Archives by the Public Health Department.
- Processing information:

This collection was processed by Michael Griffith working under NHPRC grant RA-10047-07, the Santa Clara County Archives Project. A fuller account of the grant project is available at the Archives website. The planning brochures and related documents were placed in chronological order. The copies of info were placed in chronological order, duplicates discarded, and the remaining issues foldered by year.
