All of the items in the collection were written by Irving Outcalt.
Irving Outcalt joined the faculty of San Diego State Normal School in 1912 as a professor of English, and at the time of his
retirement in June 1939, was serving as Vice-President of the college. The college administration, faculty, and senior class
of 1937 honored Mr. Outcalt by asking him to deliver the commencement address that year.
The copyright interests in these materials have not been transferred to San Diego State University. Copyright resides with
the creators of materials contained in the collection or their heirs. The nature of historical archival and manuscript collections
