This collection consists of course material and personal notes of Mary Jermanok as she learned shorthand.
Pitman instructional books, novels in shorthand, shorthand periodicals, and various manuals have been separated and cataloged.

Biographical Note

Mary Jermanok began learning Pitman Shorthand when a teenager in New York City. She used shorthand in her work career of approximately 70 years. She also taught Pitman Shorthand.
