Biographical/Historical Sketch
Hutton Webster earned his A.B. (1896) and M.A. (1897) in economics at Stanford and his Ph.D. at Harvard in 1904. He married
Winifred Fry, Stanford class of 1898, in 1903. He taught at Williams College and the University of Nebraska until 1933, when
he joined the Stanford faculty as a lecturer in sociology.
